Squeeeeeeee! I’ve tried out and purchased iStopMotion and I cannot be more excited.
I’m still mired in “ThinkShow” research projects (I’m learning how NOT to do research projects in a computer lab), but I think the first grade CLUE teacher and I will collaborate and get a claymation movie made. I showed the program to the art teacher today and she’s got some ideas, too. She may even buy it. I decided to put it on a laptop for easy mobility, and though it works fine with the iSight cam, I might try a more mobile cam next.
If you know me, I am always so hesitant to buy software. This, though, is worth the money. I had to decide between this and Premier (I really wanted to do green screen stuff with the kids), but I think stop motion animation holds many more possibilities for digital story telling. SO EXCITED!

We just got a yoostar program (green background thing)at Delano. It looks interesting, but I am not sure how I would use it with first graders. Do you have any suggestions?
